  29. echo │    On top of the improvements to Mail Call, we just wrote two new programs: ║
  30. echo │ FORM DESIGN (PFD)  and  FORM MASTER (PFM).                                  ║

  32. echo │   * Design professional quality forms with Form Design--it's fast and easy. ║
  33. echo │   * Then use either PFD or PFM to fill them out.                            ║
  34. echo │     -  PFM pulls names, addresses, etc. from your Mail Call (or other)      ║
  35. echo │        database, printing them right where you want them.                   ║
  36. echo │     -  "Auto-Edit" lets you quickly fill out forms -- in areas you marked.  ║
  37. echo │     -  Math options (+-/*) add convenience, speed and accuracy !!!          ║
  38. echo │     -  Print 1 form, or batch-print forms for many people at once--filled   ║
  39. echo │        out for you (PFM links forms to a database--filling them out for you)║

  41. echo │    PFD and PFM use many of the same commands as Mail Call (there's little   ║
  42. echo │ new to learn).  But the magic is their ability to use the same database     ║

  57. echo     Watch for phrases like '&name', '&street' or '&title.'  MC looks for these
  58. echo     'merge keys' and replaces them with info from your database.  Often refer-
  59. echo     red to as a 'Mail Merge' feature, MC's Personalized Document feature is
  60. echo                  EXTREMELY:  Fast, Easy to Use, and Convenient
  61. echo     Please read both Sample.Doc and Sample2.Doc.  And run both through MC.

  73. echo    MC is very easy to use.  You can jump right in and use most features with
  74. echo    little trouble.   Just type MC at the DOS prompt to begin.

  76. echo    But despite MC's 'apparent' simplicity, it has some powerful features.
  77. echo    To get the most out of MC, at least a quick glance at MC.Doc is essential.
  78. echo    To copy MC.Doc to your printer:
  79. echo        * Ensure your printer has about 30-40 sheets of paper
  80. echo        * Set it up to print 65-66 lines per page.  MC.Doc sends a form feed
  81. echo          at the end of each page; some pages are 60 lines long.
  82. echo        * BE SURE to use fixed-space type (not proportional spacing).  The
  83. echo          tables and charts look terrible when printed with proportionally
  84. echo          spaced fonts.
  85. echo        * Type 'COPY MC.DOC PRN' at the DOS prompt
  86. echo        * Registered users:  also type 'COPY MCE.DOC PRN' to print MCE's
  87. echo          manual (about 15-20 pages).
